They understand that adults have known about the building climate crisis for decades and the youth know the efforts to end the crisis have been too little and they fear it is too late. To date, we have remain in a state of failure to ensure that our children experience Freedom from Harm. The climate anxiety they feel is causing them harm. Moreover, many are angry, and that anger is justified. We cannot wait passively for a generational change, that is, for a significant portion of the citizenry over 40 years old to change attitudes about the many environmental challenges to the biota and humanity. Hence, the need for the prospective participants in O & E Days and working through the World Center for Survival, buttressed by Our Ethical Imperative, to help motivate the majority of the citizenry to overcome the feeling of powerlessness and to become resolute, in solidarity, moving the denialists, inactivists, traditionalists and nihilists to the side and making the many substantial changes in our sociopoliticoeconomic system necessary for a promising future.
